When we arrived in China in 2016, we faced many challenges. Today, I'm proud that we have finally established NSO — by the students, for the students, so no one has to feel alone. We are here to create a home away from home.

When I stepped out of the airport, I panicked — I didn't understand the language and even Google didn't work. NSO was created to prevent others from facing the same struggles. It will unite and serve our student community.

As Plato said, 'Necessity is the mother of invention,' and NSO is a true example of that. It has helped Nepalese students adjust to life in China while preserving their culture and identity.

Our strength lies in togetherness — where every voice is valued and every journey supported. I believe we will continue to grow stronger and guide those who come after us with care.

The loneliness I felt in those early days sparked the idea for NSO — not as a formal body, but as a lifeline. Through NSO, we've built more than support; we've built a family. No student should walk alone.

When I arrived in China at 19, I had big dreams but faced a new culture, language barrier, and limited support. That dream became NSO — a home away from home. Even if I am not here, I believe NSO will continue to grow and serve.

We bridge the gap, uniting voices from diverse campuses to advocate for shared needs. Together, we're not just an organization; we're family and a lifeline.

NSO connects and supports Nepalese students in China through cultural events, guidance, and genuine community care. Let's continue to be the reason someone feels heard, welcomed, and empowered.

This is the home we built together, and I'm committed to keeping its doors open to all.

NSO exists because no one else was going to build what we needed. Our goal is simple: organize, represent, and support.

The COVID period was challenging, but it brought Nepali students in Beijing closer. We formed the WeChat group to stay connected and support each other, believing every small act of help matters. With continuous support from the Nepal Embassy—under H.E. Bishnu P. Shrestha, H.E. Krishna P. Oli, and Counsellor Sabita Nakarmi—our collaboration strengthened. Our members proudly volunteer in embassy programs. I look forward to continued cooperation among Beijing students, the Embassy, and provinces across China.

The NSO stands as a platform for unity, support, and growth. Let's keep growing together with purpose and pride.

Our organization now acts as a bridge between Nepal and China, promoting mutual understanding and supporting future generations pursuing their dreams here.

As children of Nepal, this platform should help us foster and nurture Sino-Nepal relations in the way we know best — through genuine people-to-people friendship.

I felt honored to be part of this organization as the legal advisor — a young team of students eager to serve the Nepalese community.

Nepalese students in China have always been ambassadors bridging two countries. I hope NSO plays a significant role as a bridge between our two nations.

I have spent around 21 years in China. Our main aim is to develop NSO to support all Nepalese people who face challenges in their life in China.

I am proud that my juniors, whom we guided, have now formed NSO and fulfilled our collective dream.

Hopefully they could help new students and guide them to deal with these challenges as we did for Gopal and Manoj.
